Online and Live Online Modules | 26 Weeks

The program’s immersive 26-week learning journey will equip you with the technical expertise and leadership acumen required to navigate the rapidly evolving medtech sector. The curriculum will help you navigate the end-to-end process of taking a product from idea to fruition and see it reach the people who need it. The topics encompass four critical pillars — strategic leadership, C-suite perspectives, medical device development, and AI and acceleration strategies — which will help you become a well-rounded medtech leader.

Note: The program duration of 26 weeks excludes 2 weeks of orientation and break weeks between modules. Also, the list of topics and the live session schedule are subject to change.

Networking Event | In Person | 2 Days

Upon completion of your learning journey, you can take part in an optional, two-day in-person networking and recognition event on the MIT campus in Cambridge, Massachusetts. You will engage in faculty-led discussions and have the opportunity to interact and network with global peers across multiple cohorts.

Capstone Project

The capstone project presents an opportunity for you to synthesize program insights and apply them directly to real-world organizational challenges. You will choose a clinical problem area either in your own organization or one that you are familiar with and propose potential solutions. Through a systematic approach, you will develop a design and development plan, keeping in mind key metrics — including market size — IP and regulatory considerations, and reimbursement strategies.

The Medical Technology Program for Global Leaders is ideal for current or aspiring C-suite executives and functional leaders as well as entrepreneurs in the medtech sector who are keen to enhance their leadership acumen, build an innovation mindset, and capitalize on new opportunities to manage and lead medtech organizations effectively. 

The program is particularly beneficial for:

  • Aspiring and current C-suite executives and owners/founders in the medtech sector who are looking to build the strategic skills required to successfully bring novel technologies from the R&D stage to market deployment
  • Senior professionals in product strategy, design, or R&D who are keen to build on their technical expertise by developing business acumen and communication skills to step up to a leadership role in medtech
  • Functional leaders in adjacent industries who want to expand their knowledge and understanding of medtech and make a lateral transition
  • Participants are required to have:

    • A minimum of 10 years of work experience
    • Fluency in written and spoken English
